Bloomfield Hills, MI –The Jewish Fund is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Board of Members – Glenda D. Price and Allan Nachman.

Dr. Price is President of Marygrove College in Detroit. Prior to Marygrove, Dr. Price served as Provost at Spellman College and Dean of Allied Health Professions at the University of Connecticut and Temple University. She has received numerous academic and professional awards, including, most recently, designation as one of Michigan’s 95 Most Powerful Women (Corp Magazine, 2002) and Detroit’s 100 Most Influential Women (Crain’s Detroit Business, 2002), and has served on several nonprofit boards and committees throughout her career.

Selected by his peers for listing in The Best Lawyers in America, Allan Nachman is a shareholder practicing real property law for Butzel Long. Mr. Nachman holds a long and impressive record of volunteerism and leadership in the community. He currently serves as President of the United Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit, and is on the boards of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, Hospice of Michigan and Adat Shalom Synagogue.

The Jewish Fund was created in 1997 from proceeds of the sale of Sinai Hospital to the Detroit Medical Center and has since awarded over $22 million in grants to expand health and human services to residents of metropolitan Detroit.
